Terms of Service

Effective Date: February 6, 2026  |  Last Updated: February 6, 2026

The short version: SoloFly is a free educational program. It teaches teens airport skills and issues a digital certification. It does not replace parental judgment, airline policies, or guarantee any outcome at any airport. By using SoloFly, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the SoloFly website (soloflycert.com) and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use our services. If you are registering a teen under 18, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of that teen and agree to these Terms on their behalf.

2. Description of Service

SoloFly provides a free educational certification program for teens ages 11–17. The program includes:

  • Online learning modules covering airport navigation, security procedures, flight tracking, and emergency preparedness
  • A 30-question certification assessment
  • A downloadable digital certification for teens who pass with 80% or higher

SoloFly is an independent educational program. We are not an airline, a travel agency, or a government entity. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any airline unless explicitly stated.

3. Eligibility

  • Teens must be between 11 and 17 years of age to participate.
  • A parent or legal guardian must register the teen and provide consent.
  • The parent or guardian is responsible for the accuracy of all information provided during registration.
  • Each teen may only have one active account.

4. What SoloFly Certification Is — and Isn't

This is important. Please read carefully.

SoloFly certification means:

  • The teen has completed an educational program covering airport navigation, safety, and independent travel skills.
  • The teen has passed a knowledge assessment demonstrating understanding of these topics.
  • The teen holds a digital record of this achievement.

SoloFly certification does NOT mean:

  • Any airline is required to accept, recognize, or honor the certification.
  • The teen is guaranteed to be allowed to fly solo on any airline.
  • The certification replaces or overrides any airline's unaccompanied minor policies.
  • SoloFly assumes any responsibility for the teen's travel experience or safety.
  • The certification constitutes a government-issued document or official travel credential.

Parents and guardians are solely responsible for determining whether their teen is ready to travel independently. SoloFly is an educational tool — not a substitute for parental judgment. Always verify the specific airline's policies before booking solo travel for a minor.

5. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • You must notify us immediately at support@soloflycert.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

6. Assessment Integrity

The SoloFly assessment is designed to evaluate a teen's knowledge of independent travel skills. By taking the assessment, you agree that:

  • The teen taking the assessment is the person registered to the account.
  • The teen will complete the assessment without unauthorized assistance.
  • Cheating, sharing assessment answers, or using automated tools to complete the assessment is prohibited.

We reserve the right to revoke certification if we determine it was obtained through dishonest means.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on soloflycert.com — including text, graphics, logos, curriculum materials, assessment questions, and the SoloFly name and branding — is the property of SoloFly and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

Your digital certification is issued for personal use only. You may print it, display it on your phone, and share it as proof of completing the program. You may not alter, forge, or misrepresent your certification.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use SoloFly for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of our website or services
  • Create multiple accounts for the same teen
  • Misrepresent your identity or your relationship to a registered teen
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with our services

9. Pricing and Fees

SoloFly certification is currently offered at no cost. We reserve the right to introduce paid features, premium services, or optional add-ons in the future. Any such changes will be clearly communicated, and the core certification program will remain accessible. You will never be charged without explicit consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

SoloFly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • SoloFly is not liable for any damages arising from a teen's travel experience, including but not limited to missed flights, denied boarding, lost luggage, injury, or any other travel-related incident.
  • SoloFly is not liable for airline policy changes, gate agent decisions, or any third-party actions.
  • SoloFly's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed $0 (the amount paid for the service).
  • SoloFly is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of third-party websites or services referenced in our curriculum.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SoloFly, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or any travel decisions made based on SoloFly's educational content.

12. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@soloflycert.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including accounts involved in assessment fraud or misuse. Upon termination, your certification record will be deactivated.

13. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of SoloFly at any time, including the curriculum, assessment, certification format, or website features. We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users of material changes.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of SoloFly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of SoloFly will be resolved in the courts located in Utah.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
